Friday 18th

I think I only woke up briefly once, otherwise I slept through until 7am...we must have been tired. We had a boat tour booked for the morning, but sadly there was a pretty bad thunderstorm so Dusty had a call from the company letting us know that all tours would be cancelled that day. We were a little gutted but glad that it didn't ruin any major plans as we could do that another time, it was just a fun thing to do in between the hikes. We made our way to have breakfast at the Bonjour cafe, I went for a ham and cheese omelette with a flat white, I enjoyed it too much so there is no photo. After breakfast we grabbed some PSLs (Pumpkin Spiced Lattes) then made our way to Canyonlands National Park.

We stopped by Mesa arch too, but it was a little misty...

Pretty cool though, just don't get too close to the edge...after the eerie stop at Mesa Arch, we then made our way to the Dead Horse Point State Park.

We had some burgers at Proper Brewing Co. in Moab, I went for the Sundance Kid Burger and somehow ended up with a beer flight too, oops.

The beer flight was nice, the two on the left were IPA's and were my favourite of the bunch, the sour one was nice but not too great with what I was eating...and the steamy was a little, well, steamy? After we finished off our burgers and Dusty and Kendra helped me finish the flight, we walked around the high street and me and Becky bought some gifts.

After telling myself I didn't need to buy the alien (if I hadn't already bought myself so much stuff I probably would have got him..) We caught up on Marie’s latest vlog and then went to bed ready for our 5am wake up the next day.

Saturday 19th

We left the motel at 6am and made our way to Bryce & Zion (say Lion, then replace the 'L' with a 'Z', that's how you pronounce it, you're welcome 😉) before checking into our hotel in St George. For breakfast we stopped in a cute area called Richfield, and ate a cafe called Little Wonder.

It was a great spot, me and Becky got to try Biscuits and Gravy (for you fellow Brits, it's not how it sounds...) It was nice, strange concept because you're expecting it to be the gravy you get with a Sunday Roast. I didn't take a photo...google it and you'll see. It tastes better than it looks, if you're into that kinda thing. We continued our drive to Bryce Canyon National park...my mind is blown and I'm lost for words...so, just look...

Zion

After exploring Bryce and Zion (which was hard to leave) we made our way to the Hyatt hotel ...everywhere you look here you just get lost in it's beauty and don't want to leave. Sadly we couldn't stay forever... I got a bit excited by the luggage cart (easily pleased)

Sunday 20th

We had breakfast in the hotel and discussed our plans for the day. After breakfast we made our way to Valley of Fire! Such an epic place! We drove through and stopped off for photos around the park, it was pretty hot - 35°C (95°F).

The second image above is Elephant Rock, so cool! "There are other rocks"

We drove through the park and took in the views, I can't even tell you how beautiful this place is, you just have to come and check it out yourself! You'll love everything and anything that you do here! Next stop...VEGAS We parked in The Cosmopolitan parking lot and then walked through to The Bellagio. The scale of everything here is pretty insane. It feels like you're walking through a film set...we spent most of the trip singing Stu's song from The Hangover, so naturally when I spotted Caesars Palace I screamed with excitement a little.

Bellagio

Caesars Palace

"Hey Dusty, should we share a cocktail?" Four cocktails later...

We were going to share a cocktail because they were about 30 dollars each...but when in Vegas... We were a bit excited and couldn't decide on which one to get, so getting them all made sense (we didn't actually drink the entire menu...or did we?)

The hotels are INSANE, absolutely massive. I didn't gamble...maybe when I come back and visit again. Walking around each hotel and seeing the themes is pretty incredible. I thought it was busy, according to Dusty's brother Art, it was actually quiet. Art lives in Vegas with his family so they hung out with us for a bit which was cool. There are SO many photos I can't even begin to find the best because they're all great...buttt maybe I'll stop there. Next up after Caesars was The Venetian.

The Venetian

This was insane! I've never been to Venice, but now it kind of feels like I have haha. Yes, me and Dusty got refills on our drinks before leaving Caesars Palace. After walking around and exploring The Venetian we made our way to grab some food at Gordon Ramsay Burger. I've never eaten in any of his restaurants in the UK so it was pretty fun trying it here, it was a veryyyy good burger, worth the wait. If you go, make reservations beforehand - we weren't sure on timings for our day so we didn't book ahead...buttttt as I say, it was worth the wait!

After a long wait and a decent burger, the tiredness kicked in (and the cocktail buzz wore off) it was a long day, and I'm so happy to say I've seen Vegas! I'm already excited to plan another trip to Utah & another visit tp Vegas...maybe we'll stay a few nights next time... Kendra drove us the two hours back to the hotel in St George (she was the designated driver and didn't drink, don't worry) we played some games in the car to pass the time, seems Paul Rudd is top of our list for attractiveness and general perfection, sorry Ryan Reynolds.

I had such a great time here, but there is so much to see so I will definitely be back, See you soon Vegas

...PS I fly home tomorrow, so I'll be finishing the rest of the holiday blog write up once I'm home 😢. It's currently 1am but I wanted to make sure I got this part out before I get a chance to write up the rest. Part four coming...whenever I write it...
